RIP, Agent 86.

Get Smart was always one of my favorite shows growing up. Don Adams was a comic genius. And Barbara Feldon’s Agent 99 was my second love (after “Half Pint” from Little House on the Prairie, natch). I think that show fueled my life-long love of the spy genre, though later spoofs (e.g., the Austin Powers movies) left me pretty cold. RIP, Mr. Adams.

“Impossibly small.”

So, I pulled the trigger on an iPod nano today. I sold my old(er) iPod on the eBay, and bought the nano. “Impossibly small” doesn’t even begin to cover it! It just doesn’t even seem real. I love it when Apple knocks one out of the park with no rumor leakage like this.

Though he’d be a likely candidate for tagging as well, I’m going to point your attention to Allen’s blog, Confessions of a Pretentious Mind. He writes about all kinds of stuff, especially movies, books, food, music, and himself, all of which (yes, even himself!) he makes interesting. Maybe it’s just that we have very similar tastes in those things, but I very much look forward to each of his posts, even if they’ve (ahem) slacked off a bit of late. I’m looking forward to having Allen as a co-worker starting in 13 days, too.

I’ll pass the baton to both Jack and Pete, both of whom should having something interesting to point out.
