The New York Public Library Web Style Guide is a simple guide to creating web pages with valid XHTML and CSS. It won’t teach you advanced ninja web design, but it covers the basics and makes a good reference. [hat tip to (and created in part by) Zeldman]

Next Friday (11/9), I’m going to be the guest DJ on the “Lost X Lunch” on our local alternative station. It’s basically retro alternative music from when alternative was alternative.

It looks like I’ll be speaking on a panel at the Newspaper Association of America’s SuperConference 2002 in January in Phoenix. I’ll be speaking on a panel discussing Multi-Channel Publishing about web-publishing technologies for newspaper. I’m pretty fired up about it. Of course, I’m also going to be neck deep in a big project for work then, but I’ll just be gone for three days.
